IOWA BLUES HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

Gary
Jackson
2002 Inductee

Gary Jackson, of Des Moines, and younger brother of IBHOF member Gene Jackson, got some valuable and important professional experience at the age of 15 when he traveled to Florida to play keyboards with Soul/Blues legend, Tyrone Davis.  Jackson, also a phenomenal singer, has since performed with Ella Ruth Piggee, Dartanyan Brown, Tommy Gordon (of Chase fame), Del "Saxman" Jones (touring the globe with Split Decision, and recently reuniting with Del), and Sam Salomone, who he currently performs with on a periodic basis.  Gary has the dynamic vocal range to easily interpret Blues, Jazz and Soul, with a stage presence to match.  Jackson is certainly held in high regard as one of Iowa's premier singers and showmen.
